Machine tools do not age evenly. Some components lose precision slowly, others fail suddenly. This makes ongoing maintenance important, and we recommend a thorough inspection at least once a year.

Improve your machine's availability & extend its lifespan

Proper service can extend the life of the machine by many years and avoid breakdowns. We offer both service agreements and single service occasions.

Preventive service aims to detect and correct wear before it affects precision or reliability. It is based on the actual load on the machine, not just calendar intervals.

Typical efforts:

  • Checking geometry, clearances and tolerances

  • Inspection of bearings, linear guides and spindle

  • Lubrication system, cooling and thermal stability

  • Vibration and temperature measurement

Properly performed preventive maintenance can:

  • Extend the technical life of the machine

  • Reduce energy losses

  • Improve the working environment through more stable operation

Emergency service

Emergency service is performed when the machine has already failed or is facing immediate downtime. The focus is then on quickly restoring function.

Typical situations:

  • Sudden spindle stop

  • Electrical or control system failure

  • Hydraulic or pneumatic failures

Emergency service solves a problem here and now, but rarely restores the machine to a long-term stable state. It should therefore always be followed by a technical review to assess the root cause and future risks.

Repairs

Have you identified damage or functional impairment? Then it needs to be addressed more thoroughly. This may involve component replacement, renovation or adjustments that require longer downtime but provide better technical results than emergency interventions.

Examples of repairs:

  • Spindle replacement or renovation

  • Replacement of worn bearings and guides

  • Adjusting machine geometry

  • Upgrading critical components

Common problems

  • Deteriorated surface finish: Often linked to spindle bearing or geometry

  • Increased vibrations: Can be caused by both mechanical wear and foundation

  • Overheating: Signs of incorrect loading or lack of lubrication

  • Geometric drift over time The machine loses accuracy when beds, slideways and columns settle or wear unevenly. This is often irreversible without extensive refurbishment.

  • Insufficient thermal stability in production The machine keeps the tolerance cold but not hot. The result is scrapping, reruns and increased energy consumption.

  • Wear in ball screws and nuts Leads to backlash, poor repeatability and the need for slower feeds to maintain dimensions.

  • Unreliable tool change (ATC) Mechanical wear, sensors that are drifting or pneumatic problems cause stoppages and risk of breakdowns.

  • Poor chip and coolant management Recirculating chips damage linear systems, seals and pumps. Often a sign that the machine is not suited to the process.

  • Outdated control system (CNC) Limited computing capacity, lack of spare parts and low cybersecurity. Extends cycle times and increases energy consumption per part.

  • Electrical and drive problems Aging servo drives, wiring and contactors produce intermittent errors that are difficult to troubleshoot and often lead to unnecessary component replacements.

  • Insufficient stiffness for modern cutting data The machine is built for older tools and lower removal rates. Trying to “force” it leads to wear, scrapping and a higher carbon footprint per part produced.

  • Lack of documentation and history Previous repairs, rebuilds and emergency solutions lack traceability, making proper troubleshooting and decisions about service life more difficult.

  • High downtime costs due to minor faults. The machine works technically but requires a disproportionate amount of time, spare parts or special expertise for simple interventions, a sign of low efficiency.

Serviceförfrågan
Kryssa i vad för typ av service du behöver:

Tack för din förfrågan, vi återkommer så fort vi kan.

With service agreements you can increase the availability of your machines and avoid production stops. We offer service agreements for both individual machines and entire production facilities.

We have a large spare parts warehouse with standard components that fit many makes. Our warehouse includes spare parts and components for both new and older machines.

Retrofit

We perform Retrofits both on site at your customer's premises and in our machine factory in Främmestad. From replacing control systems to a complete overhaul. Get in touch if you need help assessing the condition of the machine.

Measurements reflect the condition of your machine and the measurement results show what improvements are needed to increase performance and productivity. Machine alignment should be done regularly, especially if the ground on which the workshop is built is unstable.

Installation & training

We offer services for all types of machine installation and training. We help you from the moment the machine enters the machine shop to the moment the first part is machined.

We move your machine, or the entire production facility.
